    There are several places around the city of Salem that offer English classes.

    English Teaching Programs:

    Broadway Life Center

    Beginning to advanced levels. Monday/Thursday 6:30-8:00 PM. Childcare provided. No classes during summer.

    Broadway Life Center, located at Broadway Commons, offers English classes at a variety of levels for adults.  They also offer an English children’s program for children through fifth grade.

     

    Chemeketa Community College

    4000 Lancaster Dr NE, Salem, OR 97305

    Classes for all levels at multiple times.  Please call for schedule.  No childcare provided. Classes available all year.

    Chemeketa offers ESOL classes in reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, pronunciation, and technology for beginning though advanced levels. In addition to classes, ESOL students have access to workshops, advising, and language and computer labs. They also help with preparation for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

     

    First Congregational Church

    Classes for all levels, reading, writing, listening, speaking, citizenship. No childcare available.  Class times during days and evenings.  Call for specific times.  Classes available all year long.

    Mid-Valley Literacy Center’s mission is to empower adults with the literacy skills they need to increase economic stability and overall quality of family life.  They offer a variety of classes, including workplace ESOL and US Citizenship Preparedness.

     

    Hoover Elementary School
